RECEIVES HALL OF
FAME AWARD
Shelbyville, TN – April 29, 2008 - For the third year in a row,
Lee Adcock Construction Company has received a Hall of Fame Award from VP
Buildings.
At the 2008 VP Buildings Conference, Lee Adcock Construction Company was
presented with a Hall of Fame Award for Best in Manufacturing Category for the
additions made to the VIAM
Manufacturing campus in Manchester, Tennessee. The award is intended to
recognize outstanding metal building projects constructed by VP Authorized
Builders during the past year. Criteria for selection include excellence in
project design, craftsmanship and construction.
The 2008 VIAM project included the construction of an 118,000 square foot
manufacturing plant and a 23,000 square foot, two story corporate headquarters
building. The architects were Kaatz, Binkley, Jones and Morris of Mt. Juliet,
Tennessee and the engineers were Oliver-Rhoads Consulting Engineers of
Tullahoma, Tennessee.
According to Kent Holt, Lee Adcock Construction Company Vice-President of
Operations, "This project illustrates the enormous possibilities that result
from close collaboration between architects, engineers, builder and owner."
In 2007, Lee Adcock Construction received a Hall of Fame award in the Church
Category for the Fair Haven Baptist
Church located in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Lee Adcock Construction also won
the award for best in Manufacturing Category in 2006 for the manufacturing plant
and office it built for MetriCan Stamping Company, Incorporated of Dickson,
Tennessee.
More than 1,000 authorized builders are eligible to enter into the annual
awards competition. Winners are selected from each of 13 categories including
agriculture structures, auto
dealerships, manufacturing facilities, offices, churches and eight others.
